COVID-19 Update on patient care

Dear R Family Dental Patients,


We want to remind our patients: we are continuing to follow the established mitigation and cleaning protocol by the ADA, ISDS (Illinois State Dental Society) and CDC within our dental office. This protocol includes:

  • Screening patients for COVID exposure and or symptoms before confirming and appointments

  • Using High Volume Evacuation in all aerosol generating procedures and continuous High Volume HEPA and UV sterilization air purification (3 Surgically Clean Air units)

  • Regularly disinfecting dental chairs and surfaces in our operatories between patients

  • Disinfecting and wiping down our waiting room area, bathrooms, and surfaces that are frequently contacted. (Ex. door handles, keyboards and mice, countertops, and community areas too.)

  • Hand sanitizer will be available in our waiting room

  • Hand washing instructions will be posted in our bathrooms.


Ensuring the health and safety of our communities is our highest priority. If you are feeling under the weather and are experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms please stay home and contact our office to let us know you are unable to make your appointment. For illness, there will be no missed appointment fee if we are notified before your appointment 24 hours in advance. 


R Family Dental continues to monitor the developments related to all public health matters and we prioritize keeping our patients and employees well informed and supported in their overall health. We continue to stay connected with information and updates coming from the American Dental Association (ADA) the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), Chicago Dental Society (CDS) and our local health departments.
